No read aloud this week.
Learning Experience
This week we had a very short week. A lot of groups presented their preschools. I learned that everyone took the project in different perspectives. I made my project as a one floor preschool where others made theirs an entire school, and even a preschool on a farm. Everyone thought very creatively and everyone’s projects were different! I loved learning and seeing how each classmate designed their preschool if they were to design them. Also we learned about the rules, costs, and safety regulations that each person would make for their preschool. It was very interesting.
Quote Of The Week
"Learning is its own great reward" Written by William Hazlitt. This quote means to me that when you learn, the knowledge you gain is your own reward. Learning some things may be difficult, but the end result is always rewarding. Throughout life one will realize that information learned will help in many different things. Everything that is learned can be rewarding.
Current Event

This current event deals with the kids of Sandy Hook
Elementary school. They are finally returning to school. Surprisingly the kids
were eager to see their friends. Even though they wanted to go back to school
they were nervous at the same time. When reading this article I was happy to
see that many people volunteered their time o help set up this new school as
cheerfully as possibly for these young children as well as the teachers. I
think it’s a very thoughtful and helpful thing in order to help the kids get back
into school mode, even after a horrible tragedy.
Observations
This week I observed discipline in one of my classes. One kid was acting up and repeatedly doing annoying things after my teacher told him to please stop. This kid refused so my teacher moved his seat. When he continued taking his phone out and talking he received a detention and his phone getting taken away. This showed me that some kids may want to act up and just be rude, but you always have to remain calm but at the same time let the kid know that you are the teacher and discipline them in an effective way.
Reflections
This week was a good short week. I enjoyed learning about everyone’s preschool. I am really looking forward to hearing more and for our TCNJ field trip!!!!
There are always going to be students that want attention. There is a reason behind this kid acting up. It could be something going on in his personal life. Just remember to look into kids situations before making assumptions.
